| So what does this picture say about me??? My area of most strength is shown to be intrapersonal (myself smart) which is pleasing for myself to see. My next area of strength is logical which suggests I am a good problem solver, I do feel this is accurate. My next area of strength is linguistic. I do enjoy in depth discussions with friends and work colleagues on a variety of topics. My fourth and fifth areas of strength are interpersonal and visual/spatial. These two areas suggest that I can interact and understand others well and that I tend to see things around me that some others may miss. My next areas of intelligences are not as strong as those above and they are in order, kinaesthetic, naturalistic and musical. It would be fair to say that I am not a sporty person, I do however enjoy gardening and I always have pets which I do take very good care of (suggesting I am not sure why I am more kinaesthetic than naturalistic), so that one is a little surprise and finally I love to listen to music but technically I would need practice at even playing chopsticks. It is an interesting way of looking at yourself, even if it is only one interpretation. The implications of this tool are interesting. Every piece of the puzzle you can gain in better understanding your learners is a benefit to yourself and your learners. By understanding their individual strengths and weaknesses you can structure groups which either compliment the strengths or weaknesses of individuals. This would also be interesting information to the individual learners so they may also understand their own strengths and actively participate in activities which may improve their weaknesses. Interested in trying it for yourself....well you can... http://www.bgfl.org/bgfl/custom/resources_ftp/client_ftp/ks1/ict/multiple_int/what.cfm |
